No censorship! No security!

As we all know, internet has become as important as drinking water everyday. Without internet- no life!!! As we know each and every one of us are so involved and overwhelmed by the technology. Apart from the benefits we gain from internet, now it is more likely internet is becoming the wrong path for the youth of today. Do we fairly agree? =)

Online censorship- what for laa??

I bet many people have raised up this question and yet the answer remains as yes. =) Online censorship still remains to be like the air around us. It’s there just that people don’t realize it. Online censorship also known as the internet filter to stop and ban all internet elements that consists immorality behavior. As we know, it won’t take long time to spread from one person to 10 people.. When these kind of immorality behaviors spread around, somehow like a slow poison it becomes a threat to the nation.

Remember Negarakuku- the ‘rap’ which was a desecration of the national anthem. The motive has been humorous yet the song has defamed the purity of our nation and humiliated the policemen. On the other hand, Raja Petra was detained due to his anti government views and discrimination on Muslims in his blog. The consequences from it, the government become the laugh of the public which caused people to disrespect and look down on our own nation.

This is the resemblance of misusing the internet which reflects to be a harmful threat to the nation. Upcoming generation seems too anticipate into this sort of immorality activities into their daily basis and they tend to lose their respect on the nation. This type of issues provoke chaos and racial riots among the races of our nation which no longer remain as peace and harmony. This problem becomes an unanswered doubt for foreigners and even people of our own to wonder ‘Are we safe in our own nation? ‘. At this stake, online censorship stands as a ladder to detain the internet from being a bad source for the youths and upcoming generations.

I hope this information has helped you to gain a short glimpse of what online censorship is and the consequences of it to the nation. Do drop us your comments. We’ll get back to you with more and more on online censorship.

Have a great day ahead! =)

  2. I agree that online censorship is good at a certain degree to avoid chaos in the country.
'Negarakuku' definitely would raise up the race issue in Malaysia which is a very sensitive issue to talk about. It should be censored before the issue gets big. =)
